THE SCOTTISH FOOTBALL PARTNERSHIP TRUST, THE CHARITABLE ARM OF THE SCOTTISH FOOTBALL PARTNERSHIP, WAS ESTABLISHED IN RECOGNITION OF THE LEVEL OF INVESTMENT THAT THE PARTNERSHIP MAKES TO NON-PROFESSIONAL GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL/CHARITABLE PROJECTS.

The Challenge

A football based project delivered by The Scottish Football Partnership Trust and a community football club/organisation in support of the Curriculum for Excellence’s (CfE) Health and Wellbeing outcomes as set out by the Scottish Government. Through a fun and progressive structure and delivery, the programme offers young children a platform of regular and fun physical activity and an understanding of the importance of leading a balanced and healthy lifestyle, through diet and nutrition. In addition the programme aims to increase the young people’s self-motivation, improve their self-confidence, further develop their social and interpersonal skills, improve personal hygiene levels and improve their general self-esteem.

KICK OFF

THE LAUNCH OF A NEW COMMUNITY PROJECT IN SCOTLAND

The GoFitba project was launched at two clubs; Kilwinning Sports Club and Cumbernauld Colts FC. The 12 week programmes will run until Spring 2017 however there has already been much interest from other clubs and it is hoped that more will participate in the near future.
